I got my absentee ballot from Elections Canada today... that's pretty speedy service.
Hmm. Didn't I just do this a year and a half ago... ?

Why... you can have Red, Blue, Orange, Green or Blue with separatist tendancies! (Note: Offer for Blue with Separatist tendancies is only valid in Quebec and only if they acheive 51% of the popular vote in Quebec).
Not to mention why wait 4 LONG years when hell - you can have the whole thing repeat itself every 12-18 months!
It's obviously a way to lure wayward Canuckians back to the land of igloos and polar bear sled commutes. :P
And trust me - nothing is more festive then a sea of election signs to augment all the pretty Xmas lights. :)
meh.
I'm waiting for the local candidates to come carolling for votes!
KC :)
You know... if it gets the candidates out, or better yet the party leaders out, where they have to sing carols, it could be worth it, in a perverse sort of way.
Or, torture, depending on their signing. (see today's LotD)
Something tells me you're not terribly thrilled with the early election... -g-
Humourously, last election I sent in my absentee ballot, then actually ended up back home during election night... :P

Posted by: kannik at December 7, 2005 06:59 PMWhen did you send in the form? I sent mine in just before leaving the country, the same week the government disolved, and I've not seen mine yet.
Posted by: Jason at December 11, 2005 09:32 AMI'd sent it for the last election, and sent in an update form about 1 month before the parliament dissolved, so I think I was already in the system. You should hopefully be getting it soon... might be worth a call to them if you don't see it by the end of this week.
